The mountainous grounds, the fertile soils and the high level of precipitation allow coffee growers located in southern regions of Dominican Republic to produce the highest quality coffee beans, able to fulfill the most demanding markets. Moreover, FEDECARES' coffee fully meets all the criteria and requirements of the fairtrade certification established by the Fairtrade Labeling Organization (FLO).

Our coffee, exclusively Arabica, is classified in two different types: The Baní and the Barahona. These coffees offer distinct exotic flavors, both typical of Dominican Republic's southernmost region.

The Baní is cultivated at altitudes between 700 to 1000 meters in the center of the republic's southern region. This bean, oval and medium in size, offers the perfect combination of mellow flavors, pleasant acidity and luxurious aroma, ideal for customers desiring a delicate coffee.

The Barahona is grown in the south-west of the republic at altitudes varying from 800 to 1200 meters. This bean, round, hard and medium in size, suggests exquisite aromas mingled with wonderfully intense winey flavors. The Barahona will please coffee lovers seeking a rich, exotic and full-bodied coffee.

Our certified organic coffee comes from the region of Polo, Barahona and Pedernales and is of a Barahona type. Fulfilling all the criteria and requirements of the IMO organic certification, this top quality coffee will meet the needs of the well informed and most demanding coffee drinkers.

The coffee harvest is carried out between September and February, which enables us to export as of December.

Our productions as well as our exportations gradually increase year by year due to new technologies and marketing efforts that have been implemented. We wish to continue in this direction, supporting fairtrade coffee importers seeking quality and uniqueness.
